Types of Dentures
There are two main types of dentures: complete and partial. Complete dentures are used when all the natural teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain in the mouth. Partial dentures are attached to the remaining natural teeth with clasps, while complete dentures rely on suction or dental adhesives to stay in place.
What to Expect
Getting dentures is a process that involves several appointments. First, we take impressions of your mouth to create a model of your teeth and gums. This model is used to create a wax or plastic prototype of the dentures that you can try on to ensure a comfortable fit and proper alignment. Once you are happy with the prototype, we will create and adjust the final dentures as needed.
